Waiting on Us
- Premera IP/Legal Review — Review contract for background IP, foreground IP, residuals protections. Use separate computers for Premera vs. DaisyAI work. Dan's advice: define this cleanly before signing. Budget $10-35K for lawyers. (Feb 13)
- Tax Advisor — S Corp/LLC Subsidiary — Dan flagged: C Corp double-taxes consulting income. Consider an S Corp or LLC subsidiary for the Premera consulting revenue. Pay minimal salary, dividend the rest. Talk to your tax person. (Feb 13)
- Fundraise Recalibration — Dan pushed hard: "Why would you fundraise if you've got the FDE thing?" Premera revenue changes the calculus. Strongest signal yet to deprioritize or pause the raise. Need to decide. (Feb 13)
- Sorensen Capital — Team reviewed Monday (Feb 10). Should have heard by now. Follow up with Chris. (Feb 10)
- Refract VC — Caesar said "couple of days" on Feb 5. It's been a week. Follow up with Caesar. (Feb 5)
- Fix deck/blurb — Tau's "wrapper" feedback still relevant. Need to rewrite blurb to lead with business model before Feb 19 calls. Now have REAL Premera scope to reference. (ongoing)
- Record demo video — Still needed for Norwest and product-focused investors. Even 3 min Loom. (ongoing)
- .406 Ventures — Thomas cold-emailed Kathryn, but Michael knows Jeremy Friese (CEO of Humata, .406 portfolio company). Should we loop Jeremy in for a warm path? (Feb 11)
- Kartik Hosanagar — Michael's Wharton AI professor. Angel investor, only invests in former students + data/AI. Reach out next week when fundraise is more mature. (target: ~Feb 17)
- Stephen Sammut — Michael's Wharton VC professor. Agreed to meet but in peak semester — proposed week of 3/9. Follow up to lock in a time. (Feb 11)
- a16z — Eva gave what felt like a pass, but Daisy (the real champion) is on maternity leave. Need to decide: wait for Daisy to return, or find another path in? Don't burn the relationship by pushing Eva. (Feb 11)
- Thomas: Ping Abhinav Kurada at Percepta/Summa — Dan starts as outside CIO at Summa Monday. Turns out Dan is Abhinav's boss at Percepta. Abhinav (Thomas's close friend) is already there doing call center work. Crazy overlap — say hi, compare notes. (Feb 13)
Waiting on Them
- Premera Proposal Response — $150/hr, 40 hrs/week, 3-6 months FDE consulting. Two workstreams: auto-auth acceleration + appeals processing. Proposal sent, expecting response early next week. (Feb 13)
- McBee Associates (Jonna Mayfield) — Proposal sent Feb 4 ($40K impl + $150-200K ACV). Verbal thumbs up but no formal response. Silence is growing — follow up. (Feb 4)
- Violetta Ostafin — Call set Feb 26, 1pm. (Feb 11)
- Pear VC (Andrew Parambath) — Call rescheduled to Feb 19, 1pm ET. MD/MBA. (Feb 11)
- Define Ventures (Chuka) — Responded Feb 11, proposed next Wed/Thu (~Feb 18-19). (Feb 11)
- Bain Capital Ventures (Kevin Zhang) — Columbia alum, call set Feb 27, 1pm ET. (Feb 11)
- Sidekick Partners (Hayden Kim) — Scheduling for ~Feb 26/27, ~noon. (Feb 11)
- Wavemaker 360 (Michelle Wang) — Deck sent Feb 11. (Feb 11)
- Primary Ventures — Deck sent, awaiting Sam scheduling. (Jan 30)
- Norwest VP (Bayan) — Materials sent. Bayan → healthcare team review. Needs demo video. (Feb 6)
Coming Up

- Feb 19 — Pear VC (Andrew Parambath) — 1pm ET
- Feb 26 — Violetta Ostafin — 1pm
- Feb 26/27 — Sidekick Partners (Hayden Kim) — ~noon
- Feb 27 — Bain Capital Ventures (Kevin Zhang) — 1pm ET
- Premera contract response — Any day now. If yes = $24K/month at 40h/week.
Longer Burn (Track, Don't Panic)
- Dan Wilson — NewCo Concept — Evolved from the Feb 11 merger proposal. Now thinking: DaisyAI as FDE services business + Stochastic as platform partner. Intertwined economics, independent operations. Not finalized with Glenn. Dan says give it 3 months — his Summa/Percepta experience will clarify a lot. See
network/dan-wilson/calls/2026-02-13.md. (Feb 13)- Open questions: What does Glenn think? What's the legal structure? Does Premera work inform this?
- Team of 5 (ex-Change Healthcare) — Shutting down or selling in ~2 months. Could acquire IP for a few million (mostly earnout + equity). Dan's take: get the IP, don't overindex on them sticking around. Window is closing but Premera comes first. (Feb 13)
- Dan/Stochastic Appeals Collaboration — Dan building provider-side appeal letter generator with Coral Health. Premera wants payer-side appeal defense. Opposite sides of the same problem. Don't rebuild what exists — explore collaboration once Premera work starts. (Feb 13)
