ViVE 2026 — Protocol
Feb 22-25, Los Angeles
The One Rule
If you don't capture it, you lose it. Everything else can happen later.
How to Capture
Don't overthink it. Use whatever's fastest:
- Claude Code Mobile — talk to it, paste into it, drop images. It knows the system.
- Voice memo — 30 seconds of messy dictation > a perfect note you never write.
- Slack — one-liner is fine. "Met the Aetna CMO, wants deck."
- Photos — business cards, slides, booth demos, flyers. Drop them in
dumps/. - End-of-day debrief — brain dump everything over a call. We'll process it together.
Thomas: you're going to think you'll remember. You won't. Capture immediately. In the hallway, in the Uber, between sessions. Don't wait.
What to Capture
Everything. Not just contacts:
- People you met — even partial names, even just "the Elevance guy"
- Things people said about their org, their problems, the industry
- Competitor stuff — booths, demos, positioning, claims
- Panel reactions — what landed, what was bullshit, who stood out
- Ideas — product, positioning, "we should try X"
- Vibes — what's buzzing, what themes keep coming up
Processing
We can always make meaning later. Drop raw material into the system anytime — Claude processes it into:
capture/contacts.md— people we metcapture/intel.md— market observationscapture/insights.md— things that change how we thinksynthesis/actions.md— what to do about it all
The structure is there. Just feed it.
