McBee + Daisy AI — 2-Page Proposal

Date: February 4, 2026

Summary

Partner with McBee Associates to reduce manual utilization review time by generating structured medical chart summaries, extracting UM-relevant flags, and providing usage analytics. Integrate with McBee client data sources (EMR, secure file share, PDF packets), align summary templates with McBee nursing workflows. Production-ready, HIPAA-aligned, scalable across McBee's nursing staff.

Objectives

  • Reduce nurse time spent conducting medical reviews
  • Surface UM-specific flags (e.g., start of service timing, critical diagnoses)
  • Provide structured summaries mapping to McBee's review template for copy/paste into criteria workflows
  • Enable low-friction data ingestion from select hospital systems or current McBee intake channels
  • Provide analytics on usage, throughput, and cost

Scope of Work

In Scope:

  • Clinical chart summaries from PDFs and clinical artifacts
  • Data ingestion from McBee-hosted systems, PDF packets, secure file share, or HL7 feeds (ADT, ORU, CCDA)
  • Template alignment to McBee's existing summary templates and QA expectations
  • Analytics dashboard (volume, processing time, usage cost)
  • Integration, training, support, and iterative tuning

Out of Scope:

  • Formal integration of proprietary criteria engines (MCG/InterQual)
  • Automated clinical determinations without human review

Deliverables

  1. Discovery Summary: Workflow map, data sources, feature requests
  2. UM Flag Specification: Written list of UM flags + extraction logic
  3. Technical Brief: Agent architecture, skill orchestration, technical logic
  4. Summary Template Implementation: Output matched to McBee's template
  5. Integration: Live data ingestion from approved sources
  6. Dashboard: Usage + throughput analytics
  7. Training: 1–2 sessions for reviewers and administrators

Timeline

  • Phase 0 (Weeks 0–4): Contracting & Security — exchange security materials, finalize SOW, confirm data access
  • Phase 1 (Weeks 4–8): Discovery & Technical Setup — nurse interviews, UM flag definitions, template mapping, test data
  • Phase 2 (Weeks 8–12): Integration & Launch — data ingestion live, initial reviews, QA feedback loop
  • Phase 3 (Weeks 12+): Evaluation & Scale — KPI review, roadmap for scale

Success Criteria

  • Time Savings: >50% reduction in summary prep time (20min → 10min)
  • Template Fit: Usable with <2 min edits (nurse feedback survey)
  • UM Flag Accuracy: >85% reviewer agreement (spot check sample)
  • Nurse Satisfaction: >8/10 rating post-training
  • Security: Pass security review and architecture walkthrough

Commercial Terms

  • Implementation Fee: $40,000
  • Total Annual Contract Value: $150,000–$200,000
