Reflection: Claude as Primary Interface

The Shift

All these tools — Linear, Gmail, Apollo, CRMs — become backend infrastructure rather than UI tools. You don't "use" them anymore. You describe intent, Claude operates them.

"Follow up with Jose" doesn't mean opening Gmail, finding context, drafting. It means saying those four words.

UIs Still Have Value

It's not bad to have a UI associated with these tools. Sometimes genuinely helpful:

Linear's visual layout of all tasks
Calendar views
Drag-and-drop for spatial thinking

But these become occasional reference views, not where work happens.

The Org Model Insight

We don't need to be so organized anymore.

Follow whatever organization Claude believes is right, and align with how Claude thinks about it — because Claude is our #1 employee. We should be operating how Claude wants to operate, not how we want to operate.

That's what gets the best results.

Remaining Friction (Temporary)

Connectors breaking (fixable)
Approval gates (review before send — but even this becomes "say 'send' or edit")
Visual/spatial tasks (shrinking over time)

The Bet

Natural language + context is a better interface than clicking around in purpose-built UIs.

For most knowledge work, that seems right.
